These can have gaps in that allow condensation to rise up to the attic.

If it is allowed to get out of hand it could be the cause for members of your family getting sick or could even lead to huge costs to in building repair. If you keep mindful of the type of environment that mold likes then you can stay on top of things. Despite your best precautions and attempts at attic ventilation you might still have to deal with the problem; it is usually easy to solve if you get to it early enough. Just remember to protect yourself when going anywhere near mold with a respiratory mask and eye protection; especially if it is black mold.
