There has been a lot of talk about some of the new rules that the NHL has placed.
The one rule that stands out the most is the 2 minute delay of game if a player flips the puck over the boards in their end. Sometimes I do not understand it nor do I think it is really necessary.
Time and time again you see NHL players use the glass to clear the puck out of their own end, and sometimes it will take a funny bounce over the glass. Do you really think they should be put into the box for that? I could see if a player does it on purpose they should, but I think that should be a refs call. Not just one ref, but at least 2 officials looking at the same play. I never really liked it to begin with. It’s defiantly a momentum buster. Defenseman like myself hate this rule and I find it to be one of the most stupid rules in hockey so far.
